Unfair Dismissals

Unfair dismissal occurs when an employee is terminated from their job in a way that is considered unjust. It can happen if there was no fair reason for the dismissal, if the reason was not enough to justify it, or if the employer did not follow a fair procedure. Unfair dismissal can include being fired without a valid reason, being let go due to discrimination, or being dismissed after exercising a legal right1.

Sexual Harassment

Sexual harassment refers to unwelcome sexual advances, comments of a sexual nature, requests for sexual favors, and harassment or comments about an individual’s gender, all of which create a hostile work environment. Most commonly, sexual harassment is perpetrated by someone in a position of authority over the victim, such as an employer or supervisor.

Victimization/ Intimidation

Harassment, intimidation, victimization. It often happens that when an employer wishes to “get rid of” and employee, he adopts tactics that create extremely unpleasant or unacceptable working conditions, in hopes that the employee will resigned.

Unfair Labour Practices

An unfair Labour practice is any act or omission between an employer and an employee that involves the employer’s unfair conduct in relation to an employee’s promotion, demotion, or training, or in relation to the distribution of benefits to an employee.

Work Related Grievances

A work-related grievance is a formal complaint raised by an employee to an employer. It is a concern, problem, or complaint that an employee has about their work, the workplace, or someone they work with. Grievances usually arise from a breach of legalities, such as the ones stated within the terms and conditions of an employment contract, as well as the legalities involved with correct compensation, discrimination, bullying and harassment, and more.

Trauma Assistance

A traumatic event occurs when an event or series of events creates a great deal of stress. A sensation of fear, powerlessness, serious injury, or the threat of major injury or death characterizes traumatic occurrences.
